Foot rash is caused due to excessive skin dryness problem. Just like our face and hand skin, our foot skin needs enough moisture. The feet need moisture in all seasons, summer or winter. Lack of such moisture causes foot rash. It causes problems including pain when ignored.
Apply moisturizing cream to the feet to ensure that they are moisturized. People with foot rashes should apply a special cream after bathing and cleansing.
If the foot is very deep, soak the foot in warm water for 15-20 minutes and gently wash it with soap. Gently remove and clean the dead cells in the feet without putting too much pressure.
Gently pat the feet with a cotton cloth and apply a bandage of Epsom salt. You can apply essential oils like lavender and eucalyptus on it.
Before going to bed, apply aloe vera gel (no cream, cactus juice). It acts as an excellent anti-bacterial. Heals wounds and ulcers in the foot.
Honey also cures foot rash. Honey has antibacterial properties. It heals sores. Gives moisture to the skin of the feet.
Regular application of coconut oil on the feet can help prevent foot rashes. People with foot rash should apply coconut oil on the affected area as soon as possible.
Mash well-ripened bananas and rub on the feet and toes to soften the feet. The fruits should be well ripened. If it is kaya, the acids in it will aggravate the ulcers.
Mash the bananas on the feet and leave to soak for 20 minutes, then wash off with warm water. You can get good results if you continue to do this for 2 weeks. Banana acts as an excellent moisturizer. It also contains Vitamins A, B6 and C which help in retaining the moisture of the skin.
